Meet chris

11 things you probably didn't know about me

I'm a born and raised New Yorker. This means: I think everyone is walking way too slow on the street, bagel and lox is one of the top 3 best breakfast foods, NY bagels are KING, 9:30pm is proper dinner time, and 4am is bedtime.

I am a very competitive Monopoly player and I firmly believe you should form teams when the game grows stale. That is when trades, debates, and true planning comes in handy!

I love Al Green! I love him so much I gave my bike his namesake.

I have 4 brothers and 1 sister whom I adore.

I made a documentary about my imperfect family in college and it put a healing tone on my relationships. I didn't solve everything but being behind a camera gave me the courage to ask the questions I wanted to ask and confront issues that seemed too large.

I run another portrait studio that goes by my own name,

I took a backpacking trip through Southeast Asia with one of my closet friends, Dana, and we ended up cycling through Cambodia during the hottest season of the year. It was an incredibly hilarious, difficult, and painful experience that I will cherish forever.

I knew I was meant to be a portrait photographer when I was an intern for Shameless Photography. I was able to witness the transformation of a woman through a truly exploratory, freeing photography experience. A portrait can be life changing for the everyday person and that's exactly what I aim to provide now.

I love walking in the rain, it cleanses my mind.

I've been Prince 3 years in a row for Halloween.

One of my proudest moments as a family photographer is when a pre-schooler I photographed referred to me as a friend months later.
